Since we will be moving in just a few weeks i thought i had better catalog and try to use all the food in our freezer. So in the spirit of blogging and sharing way more than anyone really needs to know i thought i would post the list. It may be an entertaining glimpse into our home and maybe some of you can give me ideas of how to use it all before we leave.
In my freezer there are:
*11 frozen waffles
*10 1/2 lb. bags of ground beef
*1 long smoked sausage link
*1 large pork roast
*1 pan cheesy chicken manicotti
*2 jars Mary Kelly soup
*14 pumpkin waffle cookies
*1 bag peas
*2 bags mixed vegetables
*13 cans frozen juice (apple, grape, cranberry, and orange)
*1 bag blended kumquats
*1 pack chicken nuggets
*3 small steaks
*4 containers homemade raspberry freezer jam
*6 frozen rolls
*2 packages hotdogs
*4 chicken breasts
*1 box vanilla ice cream
*1 container whipped topping
*3 bags cooked squash
*2 tilapia filets
*1 box gold n' soft marjarine
So if anyone has any tips on how to cook tilapia or any creative recipes using ground beef please help me. I didn't catalog what is in my fridge but things of note that i do need to use include a large jar of dill pickles chips and a #10 can of hot fudge. Dill chocolate hamburgers anyone?

hmmmm....well, you can give the pumpkin waffle cookies and icrecream to me.
Other than that--good luck!
love you les!
I was thinking what a great shake you could make witht the juice and ice cream etc. But then I thought- hey why not just put it all in and make a REAL PROTEIN SHAKE!! Tell me how it goes!
I can't believe you're leaving so soon. Best of Luck!! And congrats on the HOUSE!! It's beautiful:) As per your freezer contents...hmmm, for the ground beef all i can think of is tacos. The tilapia would be yummy breaded (that's how we always eat it) and the frozen juices, definitely the smoothie suggestion. I think that's the hardest part about moving, using up all your stuff and realizing that some of it is just going to have to go to someone else. My best friend in Arizona is the one that inherited all of our freezer contents we couldn't consume in time. Best of luck!!
I think your freezer is bigger than my house! ;) It's a good thing my kids don't know what they are missing!
You can really add beef to anything - taco salad, mac n cheese (throw your peas and vegetables in too...hot dogs), stroganoff....
You can combine a container of juice (or part of it) with the ice cream, put it in a graham cracker crust and it makes a yummy ice cream pie. (frozen fruit and ice cream works too - ie: rasberries and coconut in vanilla...hmm!)
chicken nuggets and frozen veggies for lunch....
cookies for dessert
a potluck...
now I can't remember what is on your list. Sounds like some yummy dinners and a low grocery bill this month! woohoo!! Good luck moving. I am still in packing denial.
